Even off the slopes and cross-country ski runs, you can enjoy a winter holiday in the Loferer Almenwelt by going on a winter hike or snowshoe hike. You can also set out on this wonderful winter activity directly from Wastlalm or Loderbichl farmhouse. It doesn’t matter if you’re an ambitious athlete or if you’re just going along for the fun of it.
During a hike on cleared paths or going cross-country with some snowshoes on, everyone can enjoy the winter at their own pace. The snowshoe’s large surface area mean that they hardly sink into the snow at all, so you can save energy when hiking, especially over longer distances.
You can choose between 2 prepared routes in the Loferer Almenwelt: A 1.5 km and a 4 km winter hiking trail lead through the enchanting snowy landscape of the Almenwelt. There are inviting restaurants along the way where you can try traditional delicacies or warm up with a mulled wine.
